Russian website hacked – we continue our work

Decom logoDecomAtom’s Russian website was hacked today, apparently by some supporters of nuclear energy.

The hacked site included a link to Atomenergoproect, a developer of nuclear energy, and part of Atomenergoprom, a state-owned holding company that unites Russian nuclear industry.

The DecomAtom project is called “From closed room to openness”. But some seems to dislike the openness. We want public debate and we are ready to discuss the future of the old nuclear reactors with everyone who does not agree with us. However it is totally unacceptable that someone is trying to prevent us from doing our work, by hacking our website. We will continue our work for dialogue between nuclear authorities and the civil society regarding plans and finances to decommission the old reactors.
