Russian environmentalists on study tour to US

Oleg Bodrov and Gennady Shabarin from the DecomAtom network visited United States in August to learn from successful decommissioning projects.

They will make a video documentary about the decommissioning of the Maine Yankee NPP. During the visit the Russian environmentalists met representatives of the nuclear industry, local municipalities and NGOs. They also held presentations for the public and nuclear experts about the decommissioning process in Russia.

Several newspapers covered the visit of the Russian environmentalists.
